Sustainable Oslo?

Explore ambitious, green, innovative projects in and around Oslo with this Insite tour.. Digg deeper into sustainable initiatives for urban planning, green transportation, biodiversity and architecture.

This tour really gets to gripe with sustainability and may be customised to focus on your particular interests. Here you have the opportunity to dig deeper into e-mobility, urban planning, circular economy and social projects, and visiting some of FutureBuilt´s many pilot projects (FutureBuilt´s vision is to show that climate neutral urban areas, based on high quality architecture, are possible). This implies prestigious public buildings such as the Deichman Library, the National Museum and the Munch museum, and down-town projects in the private and public sector.

We also look at examples that investigate upcycling, circular economy and the careful use of conventional building materials. Examples are the yellow-listed Skur 38 which the Oslo Port Authority has renovated in accordance with circular principles, the Circular Resource Centre and KA13, a 1950s building which has been upgraded not only reusing materials in general but also by integrating construction materials from other buildings.

The Sustainable Oslo tour includes urban open spaces and is also suitable for landscape architects or groups with interest in parks, greens and landscapes.
