Gunnar holds a Master of Architecture from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO). In addition, he studied for two years at the Academy of Art (Akademie der bildenden Künste), in Vienna, attending the master class of renowned Finnish architect Timo Penttilä. From 1989 onwards he worked for five years on various accommodation projects for the 1994 Winter Olympics at Lillehammer. Until 2000 he was employed by various architectural offices in Norway, working on housing projects, retirement homes, schools and public offices. From 2000 onwards he has had his own office. His portfolio consists mainly of large housing complexes, retirement homes but also commercial surfaces and single- family homes.
He is fluent in German and English.
